Content Manager

The Content Manager is the keeper of quality for the company. You will ensure the editing requirements of creators are realised and will use a keen eye to elevate the storytelling. The video editing skills of the Content Manager will be used to provide high-end reviews of videos, and will serve to enhance the contextual scope of the stories and make them creator-centric. In addition, the Content Manager will be in charge of generating innovative ideas to advance and streamline editing standards for each managed channel.

The Content Manager will be in direct report to the Head of Operations of the company and will supervise a team of Editors to craft inspiring and impactful stories.

Responsibilities

Content Manager

Works closely with the Head of Operations and Editors to accomplish operational goals.
Reviews client videos with due diligence, attention to details, content knowledge and with focus on the storyline/flow.
Identifies areas of improvement in editors’ creative and technical skills with the goal of helping the team grow and develop.
Clearly communicates issues and risks as well as the plan to address them, to the Head of Operations.
Keeps abreast of creative, innovative, and technical solutions and communicates the need for improvements where appropriate.
On daily basis, tracks and documents the Editing Outcomes against the set KPIs per reviewed video.
Collaborates with other Content Managers to identify and seize creative opportunities and improve the efficiency of creative operations.
Assigns activities and tasks to team members and ensures task completion is on schedule, within budget, and of the required quality standards in line with creators’ vision.
Manages relationship with clients by documenting and communicating client needs and demands to the agency and constantly updating the styling guide for existing and new clients.
Can step in and provide video editing services if the need arises.
Performs other duties that may be assigned to meet company needs.

Requirements

Strong familiarity with YouTube.
Familiar with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop.
Ample post-production knowledge including motion graphics, sound mixing, keying, and color correction.
A proven ability to think strategically, analyse critically, and to manage time, tasks, and resources effectively.
Ability to manage multiple projects and remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.
A problem-solver who can troubleshoot technical and editorial issues.
A “can-do” attitude and a willingness to figure things out and find solutions as needed.
Ability to work with many different personality types and people from different backgrounds.
